The American Spectator : Obama and the Bodysnatchers

The American Spectator : Obama and the Bodysnatchers

The State of the Union Address

Well what can I say about yet another Obama state of the union address? Honestly it was another pointless speech that did nothing but raise my blood pressure and make me sick. That sort of happens to me when I listen to this president do nothing but say what I want to hear mixed with countless lies. The mid-terms elections did send a message to Obama without a doubt, however it wasn’t the message we intended him to get. Instead the message he heard was that he should change his tone slightly to look more bi-partisan. To be more sneaky about how he pushes his agenda through. That’s exactly what we got last night.
Even though he wrapped up the speech with an impressive tone of patriotism in a sense talking about he small Pennsylvania company that helped the miners trapped in South America, talked about freedom, and even seemed to joyously yell God bless America at the end the rest f the speech was a pack of code words and lies. He understands we need to create jobs and we need to cut the budget, but reading between the lines of the speech one can easily see that he is not taking the two issues seriously. Let’s build bullet trains huh? Kind of reminds you of last year with all the shovel ready jobs that didn’t do a damn thing to help unemployment in this country. His blind pursuit of this so called bullet train system and green jobs research is leading us down a spending path that will do nothing but work against any attempts to reduce the deficit.

While we are at it let’s talk about the popular code word of the day it seems. Investments. Investments in our future, investments in America. Sounds a lot like a new stimulus to me doesn’t it. I would love to have the chance to be there in the aisle and stop Obama as he walked by and ask him plainly “You really think American’s are going to believe that bullshit?” Okay it is possible that there are a group of ignorant mindless sheep in American today that actually do believe everything this president says, but I do honestly believe that the majority in America sees right through the lies and deceit. It is clear that Obama and his progressive cronies that slither around the streets of Washington DC are going to fight for their vision of big government and massive spending. Oh sure they will cut here and there, but nothing that counts. I’m not sure if it was in the speech itself or if it was in an article I read afterwards, but it stated that Obama understood the importance of reduced spending and making funding cuts. That at times it would hurt, but we couldn’t have it hurt too much. Well Mr. President and your fellow cronies what about the average American. What about the parents that have to look into their children’s disappointed faces when they can buy them something small they wanted or even their favorite snack food for the week. Do you now what it feels like to say to a child sorry we don’t have the money this week maybe next week? Mr. President do you know what it is like to ration your own portion of dinner out so your kids could have just alittle more to eat? Do you even have any idea what it is like to be the average American in today’s economy…a bad economic situation that you may not have started but sure as hell have done nothing to help it only plunge us deeper in the hole!

They have no clue what it is like for the average American. Spending must be cut not just to save money, but to save America. Surly someone that has the IQ he claims to have and is the egomaniac he sets himself up to be must see the warning signs. He must see the potential danger we are in and that our future is so close to becoming that the ancient Romans and the ancient Greeks faced. They saw their empires crumble and fall and that is exactly the future we face today. Call me paranoid or crazy if you want, but someone has to take a stand and say it plain and simple. I suspect that within the next ten years (quite possibly sooner) if our government doesn’t shrink it’s size and seriously slash it’s spending drastically like Michael Myers does to a teenager on Halloween night then we will see the fall of America. We will be done and then what countries like China will come in and pick up the pieces. You may say that no that cannot happen to America! Well I ask you why not? We don’t have a get out of debt free card. In reality we have walked the exact path of all those other nations before us that saw their governments and countries fall. Huge central governments, massive so-called entitlements, and unsustainable national debts. All triggers to collapse of a nation. That future is not set in stone, but unless our elected officials stand up and seriously change things and make deep cuts in government size and spending then yes that is our fate.

Obviously for me the president’s address did nothing to comfort me. I really tried…I did. I looked for positives in the speech and looked to see a glimmer of hope. Instead my fears were just reconfirmed. Unfortunately lies and deceit is what I have come to expect from this president and his progressive cronies. Oh well I should have watched M.A.S.H. re-runs instead.

State of the Union: The Calm Before the Bull S#!& Storm

Ah yes to many of us that follow American politics this is the night. Political theater at it’s best. Will we see a new Obama, one that actually has begun to “get it” or will we see Obama, with the help of a good acting coach, just standing there telling us what we want to hear? I suspect the latter. After all doesn’t the saying go that the leopard cannot change his spots? Call me pessimistic and I won’t argue with you. I don’t have high hopes for the state of the union address. We can all assume at this point that the focus will be about jobs, but there is nothing Washington is willing to do about the unemployment rates in this country that will really work. They are too self centered and too greedy to say the least. Well maybe not all of them but the established old guard is and they are the one with enough connections to push their agendas with the new members of congress trying as hard as they can, but I have little hope they will actually accomplish anything good. Now I know they got obamacare repealed, but it still has to go through the senate and then be signed by the president himself…which is exactly what I mean.
Anymore the whole thing is a joke. I’ll watch it, but part of me thinks why should I? It’s just going to tell me what I want to hear and that is that the president “get’s it” and will start to take measures to turn this country around. The fact of the matter is he doesn’t get it. We have been screaming about unemployment since the rates started to skyrocket, but did they even take measures that will really work. The left fought the Bush Tax breaks, but tax breaks especially for businesses would mean more money to invest in things like say jobs! Look I’m not going to go into my thoughts on how the government should take a step back and get the hell out of the private sector and let the economy properly heal itself. That’s another rant all in itself. Obama will be arrogant and talk the talk, but when it comes to walking the walk on jobs the poor man doesn’t have a clue what to do. I have an idea let’s fire him so he can see what it’s like to be out of a job in America in 2011. Too bad that wouldn’t actually work. He may be smart, but he is an idiot.

Then there is spending. My God we are on the road to collapse under the national debt. Seriously. It makes me sick when I hear politicians talking about reducing spending like it’s a minor issue. They either don’t realize how serious the debt is or don’t care. They don’t realize that we as a nation can no longer survive under a debt as large as we have! If this continues and doesn’t get under serious control with some serious reduction then we are looking at the collapse of the United States of America. It’s about time this president and the political elite in Washington take this really seriously and produces some serious results. If not then years down the road the United States will be on the list with the ancient Roman empire, ancient Greece, Spain, etc. without a doubt. He will mention his plans to reduce the deficit, but then I suspect later on down the speech he will be pushing for the national railway system, green job research, and so on. All of which imply government spending.

I could go on, but I just wanted to put a few thoughts down so I could come back and say “HA! I told you so!”. I just want to touch base on two other points. First will the Supreme Court be a no show? I hope to God they don’t show just to send the message to this arrogant president that you can’t reprimand the Supreme Court on national television during the state of the union address. That was such a disgusting unprofessional display last year when he actually had the balls to do just that. So yes I hope they don’t show! It would be a bold statement to say the least.

Finally last, the new seating chart. Give me a break mixing up the parties! That right there has proven to me that this isn’t a serious address, but political theater. They care more about how to sell the lies and not about the country itself. If I watch it (at this point I’m planning on reading the transcript instead) the only thing I’m looking forward to is not seeing Pelosi’s botox infested face the whole time behind Obama!

Is there no morality left in this world? A Commentary

“Is there no morality left in this world?” is a quote from Vincent Price in a movie called ‘Comedy of Terrors’. Price stars along side some ‘b’ horror movie greats like Boris Karloff, Peter Lorrie, and Basil Rathbone. It’s about two funeral directors in danger of losing their family funeral parlor business and decide to start killing people to drum up business. If you have never seen it I strongly suggest you seek it out. It’s not a horror movie per say it’s a comedy done in the late 60’s if my memory serves me correctly. Ah good old classic horror movies where you didn’t see people tortured and slaughtered in gruesome detail. The type of horror where only enough was shown and your imagination took over. Horror movies that starred respectable actors that were forced to rely on their acting talents not their looks or image. I’m a fan of the classics to say the least, especially Price…I thought he was perfect for the genre. Talented, could easily have that sinister creepy look about him, and a voice that was a horror fans nightmare! However the reason I am rambling on about this is simple…the quote…back then it was just a line in a movie, but today I fear it’s a valid question in today’s world.

If you watch more than a half hour of news a day it seems the whole world is on the brink. At times I think it is, but I’m not going to focus on the entire world right now I just want to focus here on America. We are facing so much now at this point in history in America it’s not anywhere close to funny. The economy is still shaky at best, unemployment numbers are insane, many of our elected officials in all levels of government still haven’t grasped the concept of ‘We The People’, public officials are getting death threats and assassination attempts, our President is surrounded in so much controversy, this administration seems to be kissing the butt of a communist leader, Muslims are getting more vocal and violent towards the western (our) culture, the legalized murder of unborn children is becoming common practice as a form of birth control, typical yet twisted movements in the left are getting more violent and vocal trying change the way people think and act, etc. that’s just off the top of my head. It’s not just everyday reality either it’s in the entertainment. Themes of violence and sex are in music, movies, and television shows. Turn on prime time T.V. and you will see shows built around themes of sex, violence, rudeness, questionable behavior, rape, and abortion. Even a popular afternoon soap opera has had a side storyline about a 17 year old kid being raped in prison. Is this really what we consider entertainment today? I consider it sick.

Now don’t get me wrong here…I’m not preaching by any means. I’ll be the first to stand up and say I’m guilty of straying from the moral path once and awhile. We all are at some point in our lives. After all we are only human and we make mistakes, however the difference between making mistakes and falling in the trap this stuff sets is the fact that we know right from wrong and we do our best to try to stay on the path. In the end when the mistakes happen we have some level of regret and do our best to get back to the point where we want to be. I have made an observation though thinking about all of this for as long as I have now. Personally I’m 35 years old, lived all my life in Ohio, and I am a product of the public school system. I’m making my observations from my personal life and through the people I know. Now granted I was educated in my religion (I’m of Catholic faith) by my mother and it was what I would say slightly above average. I attended church on a regular basis and catechism up until about 9th grade I believe. ON top of that she took time at home to pray with me and teach me different lessons in our faith. At the time I took it for granted, I was a kid, but now looking back I should have absorbed more. Much of what she taught me I think has prepared me for being a father and a husband. I’m not perfect mind you, but my religious lessons in life has served me well. Anyhow I’ve come to this conclusion…with each passing generation morality has been slightly eroded until now where it seems to be non-existent in today’s society. The younger generations are terrible in my opinion. This moral decay in our society could very well be what’s left in the pot when you boil down everything that is happening in today’s world.

For example my oldest is in second grade. He told me one Friday after I picked him up from school that if a girl calls for him at night to tell her he wasn’t home. I laughed and asked why, and he told me this girl at school was going to call him. She wanted him to sneak out of the house that night and come over to have a sleep over. Now I don’t think he was thinking along the lines I was thinking, and I don’t know if she really meant it like that but come on I don’t remember anything like that happening to me in second grade. I don’t remember much, but I do know I was into stuff like baseball and Star Wars not girls! Another personal experience happened last year when we found out that the 13 year old girl a few houses down was pregnant and even though we cannot confirm it I believe and abortion was the answer. Thirteen years old! I also know of a married couple where the man’s wife physically cheated on him three times with three different guys and has broken their trust countless number of times with extreme flirting. Each time the cheating came to light the remorse from the wife didn’t seem genuine and the husband was made to feel like it was his fault. After a couple of days of turmoil in the marriage the wife got upset and told him it was no big deal to just get over it. Since when is infidelity considered no big deal? We all have stories like this we have experienced through life it just isn’t around dime by any means, but it is a testament to the times we are living in. Like I said we have degraded to the point where immoral issues become entertainment so what should we expect huh.

This great nation was formed from the grace of God. Our founding fathers believed that and I have to say so do I. Come on now seriously think about it. How did the colonies of America who could barley unite together and couldn’t pay for the army we had fight and defeat the greatest military power on the face of the planet at the time? Luck and timing doesn’t justify all of it to say the least. It was divine intervention and all of our founding fathers believed that you can see it in their writings. We are a Judea-Christian nation there is no doubt about it. Our whole system of laws are based on the moral laws of the Christian faith. Now granted we have the first amendment where we have the right to choose and openly practice the religion of our choice, but the fact of the matter is that our country is primarily Christian based. However the left never did like that much and the progressive socialistic movement in this country when it formed didn’t like that much either. You see God and moral behavior meant it was harder for them to be able to control the people. After all even a moderate Christian will trust in God before they would trust in any man or woman. So the answer was to take critical theory (an extreme communistic theory that attacks the foundation of society itself that was considered too crazy for even Karl Marx himself) and imply it in everyday life here in America. We know it today as political correctness. The end result would have people too afraid to take a stand and express their opinion in fear of being targeted as a racist, bigot, or extremist. Sounds familiar huh. Political correctness a.k.a. critical theory has us at each others throats and pushes the left’s agenda by attaching itself to “just causes” in society. They fix a problem and then some. Examples could be the woman’s movement of the 30’s or the civil rights movement of the 60’s. Critical theory attaches itself to the fight for what is right and then once helps achieve the specific goal it pushes it’s agenda through along with it. Similar to what Congress does today in America. The end result is a changed culture that is so self absorbed and greedy with no real sense of what is right and what is wrong. Now today there are so many other movements that don’t just want to change things to what they see is the right way to live, but they want to fundamentally change the structure of America itself. I just want to ask them one question. Do you really think that if you succeed in putting your progressive left in control that you will have the right to free speech to spew your b.s.? The answer is no. They are using you to secure their footholds in American politics for their own controlling agenda and nothing else. They don’t care about your right to abortion or your fight to re-define marriage. All they care about is power and control.

When America’s moral standard was in full swing yes we had problems, but the threat we face today was far off. They new that faith in God and a good moral fiber in society would stop them. Faith, morals, principles, and values give the average person the strength to keep fighting until the end. They give us the ability to win any battle that seems too difficult to overcome. Now in America today we need to strengthen without a doubt all those attributes that once made this country great. If we don’t then my friends I hate to say it no matter how many battles we seem to win the war is already lost. It’s time to renew our faith in God. It’s time to teach our children morals, principles, and values. We need to right now before it’s too late.

Hard at work...

Just another quick posting letting everyone know I'm still hard at work getting things settled and finalized with starting up the show again. I hope to do so soon. New videos will be coming soon as well. As far as updating the site by next week I should have everything ready to be uploaded and the American Patriot: Michael J. Maxim 2011 should be ready to go. As far as the blog here I plan on posting at least once a day, an original blog, Monday thru Friday with added links to articles randomly 24/7. I alos have plans on adding other bloggers to the site as well. So things will start jumping. All I ask you to do is be sure to follow the blog on the net either through blogger or the RSS feed and share this blog with others. I feel strongly that we are headed into darker times in this country and it won't be easy. By sticking together we will see it through the end. All Praise Obama!

A congresswoman is in the hospital fighting to recover back to a normal life. A nine year old girl's family is grieving her death. A total of six Americans lay dead in the ground...victims of a brutal act committed by a man with unknown yet what seems to be serious mental issues. An American tragedy that is so horrible the left and their media cronies are using to push their controlling agenda on the public. To them everyone on the right is to blame except the shooter himself. To them it was no different if Sarah Palin pulled the trigger. Then there is President Barrack Obama. The very man that has seemed to have done nothing during his presidency except, with the help of his progressive cronies, drive a wedge making the rift between the American people wider. In my personal opinion his handling of the Tuscan Tragedy has just continued to divide America further. Let me explain.

Hours after the shooting happened we waited to hear what the President had to say once it was announced he was going to make a public statement. When he finally did he came out in front of the podium sounding like he was doing a bad William Shatner impression. His remarks that were supposed to help sooth the nations wounds were cold and jumbled. He even paused coldly after he referred to congresswoman Giffords as a good friend. My cat shows more emotion than President Obama most of the time! Maybe that can be explained. Possibly he was so shook up by the events that it was difficult for him to effectively give an emotional statement even though shortly after Governor Brewer gave her statement with tears and sorrow in her voice. I know this happened in her state under her watch, but it was the type of statement that I expect... sincere. I would have rather had George W. telling us to go shopping again than the cold hearted half ass statement Obama gave us that day!

Candidate Obama gave speeches and statements full of fire and spirit. He seemed to be alive on the campaign trail...now he is cold, disconnected from all emotion it seems, and can't put two thoughts together in a sentence without the help of the teleprompter. Half the time when you see him he looks like one of my kids when the Wii broke and they were bored as hell! Is this really the impression a president should give? It's not just the fact that I am not a supporter as you can tell...I mean there were other presidents I didn't like for one reason or another, but I never had this kind of impression about them nor would I be voicing my observations like this. All of this seems wrong doesn't it?

Then came the memorial service on January 12th in Tuscan. Once again President Obama showed us that he just doesn't care. He showed us what a narcissistic bastard he could be. I don't know about you, but a memorial service is about those you are remembering and honoring. It's generally a somber mood to say the least. You may hear a chuckle or two when amusing memories of those being remembered are told, but generally the events are not high on the happiness meter. I would have assumed the one honoring those involved in the Tuscan tragedy would have been the same, except they had President Obama there in full campaign mode. He took a somber memorial service and turned it into a campaign rally complete with frequent shouting, cheering, clapping, whistling, and odd outbursts that made me the viewer uncomfortable not being able to possibly imagine how awkward it would be to be there sitting in the audience! Are you kidding me! Did Obama really take a somber event like this and disrespect it like he did just to score brownie points with supporters? Give me a break. If you disagree just stop reading here and go and watch video footage of the speech then come back and argue your points, because plain and simple what he did was disgusting and wrong! I don't care if you are the president this behavior is stomach turning at best! Maybe it's not his fault. Maybe it was his advisors and speech writers that pushed him in that direction. If that's the case then fire those idiots right now. At a time where the country is divided on thin ice this president should (using the motto of the left) use this crisis to help heal the nation not push it further apart!

President Obama you failed to take this chance to put an end to the rift and publicly denouncing the actions of the liberal media and various democrats that used this tragedy...this lost of innocent human life...as a platform to push their agenda even before the blood was dried on the pavement! A harsh statement perhaps, but that is exactly what they did! You cannot deny that! Do you have any understanding whatsoever the message that sends? Do you possibly understand how much that disrespects all of those injured and uninjured that were directly involved on that horrible day! I'm disgusted with the leadership in this country. How out of touch they are with the pulse of the American people. How much that just don't give a damn about what is right and what is wrong!

Granted Obama made his comments about the anger that is brewing in this country over Sarah Palin, the TEA Party, and the hosts of conservative talk radio being blamed for this...but he DID NOT DENOUNCE IT! Instead it seemed like Obama just re-enforced the anger in a round about vague way! Way to go trying to calm the nation down Mr. President!

Now I know this is a touchy situation and knowing what to say could be difficult. Let's face it the President has so many that don't like him and would find faults in anything he says, but I don't think my opinions I have gathered from this event and speech are far fetched to say the least. As just an average American living in Ohio what do I know huh. I mean does my opinion really count...to our elected officials it doesn't that's for sure. All I know is I am deeply offended as an American and a human being when I see the President of the United States turn a memorial service into a full blown pep rally!

Thoughts on the Tragic Events in Arizona on 1/8/11

Yesterday on January 8, 2011 a series of tragic events happened in Arizona. By now you have to be dead or just don't care not to know about the shooting of Rep. Giffords, the wounded, or the 6 dead due to a shooting that occurred outside a Tuscan Safeway at a Congress on your Corner event. However in my opinion what is equally tragic were the events afterwards. While the Congresswoman and many others were fighting for their lives in the hospitals they were rushed to the left wing controlled media in a sickening act that showed lack of respect and personal accountability began to blame Sarah Palin, the TEA Party, Rush Limbaugh, and Glenn Beck for this event done by someone who obviously had some sort of mental issues. At this point I am not sure why all of this happened, but I am confident to say that this was politically motivated since a political figure was the apparent target. A brief look into the little we know about Loughner suggests that any political beliefs he has lean towards the left. So why blame the right?
Simply put if the left blamed themselves then they would have to admit to their faults and wrong-doings and God forbid that right! I'm a realist and I know the blame game was bound to happen and this tragedy will open up a serious of fights and events that will systematically take away more of our God given rights as Americans. However that is the future. We can and should be paying attention to the politics surrounding this issue. Unfortunately this is like war and we cannot take our eyes off the problems even for a second to grieve for those that have lost their lives, but that doesn't mean we cannot keep them in our thoughts and prayers.
Six people lost their lives yesterday and we must not forget them. Here is a list from Wikipedia. Don't lose sight of the tragedy when sucked into the political blame game.

Six people were killed in the attack. All but Christina Taylor Green died at the scene of the shooting.

Christina Taylor Green, 9, of Tucson. Green was accompanied to the meeting by a neighbor.[12] Green died at University Medical Center.[6][40] Born on September 11, 2001, she had appeared in the book Faces of Hope: Babies Born on 9/11.[41] She was the daughter of Los Angeles Dodgers scout John Green and the granddaughter of former Major League Baseball player and manager Dallas Green.[42] She was in third grade and had recently been elected to the student council at Mesa Verde Elementary School.[12][40][43

Dorothy Morris, 76, who in early articles was named as "Dorothy Murray".[12][43]

John McCarthy Roll, 63. Roll was the chief judge for the District of Arizona. Roll was a native of Pennsylvania and a 1969 graduate of the University of Arizona. He began his legal career as a bailiff in Pima County Superior Court and in 1980 joined the office of the U.S. Attorney. He was appointed to the Arizona Appeals Court in 1987 until he was named to the federal bench by then-President George H. W. Bush in 1991. He had served as presiding judge since 2006.[12]

Phyllis Scheck, 79.[12][43

Dorwin Stoddard, 76.[12][43]

Gabriel "Gabe" Zimmerman, 30. Zimmerman worked on Giffords's staff as a community outreach director.[12][43] He was engaged to be married.[12]

Daily Gospel Reading 1/3/11

GospelMk 6:34-44When Jesus saw the vast crowd, his heart was moved with pity for them,
for they were like sheep without a shepherd;
and he began to teach them many things.
By now it was already late and his disciples approached him and said,
“This is a deserted place and it is already very late.
Dismiss them so that they can go
to the surrounding farms and villages
and buy themselves something to eat.”
He said to them in reply,
“Give them some food yourselves.”
But they said to him,
“Are we to buy two hundred days’ wages worth of food
and give it to them to eat?”
He asked them, “How many loaves do you have? Go and see.”
And when they had found out they said,
“Five loaves and two fish.”
So he gave orders to have them sit down in groups on the green grass.
The people took their places in rows by hundreds and by fifties.
Then, taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven,
he said the blessing, broke the loaves, and gave them to his disciples
to set before the people;
he also divided the two fish among them all.
They all ate and were satisfied.
And they picked up twelve wicker baskets full of fragments
and what was left of the fish.
Those who ate of the loaves were five thousand men.

An Open Letter To The New Congress

The last year has been one of the most intense yet exciting time in American political history at least in my lifetime. America is in turmoil and the members of Congress for years have been at the root of all our problems. Most recently under the leadership of Nancy Pelosi the last 111th Congress has done the most damage to say the least. We as a nation faced an economic crisis that was without a doubt a depression even though they would not admit that’s what it was. Members of our family, friends, and co-workers lost their homes…they lost their jobs…to many Americans the term struggling to make ends meet had new meaning. We say stable corporate giants and fail-safe banking institutions begin to crumble. For years we let greed over take common sense and now it came back to bite us in the behind. So the progressive machine pushed their agenda through causing more damage than good by using tax dollars that we didn’t have to bail these banks and corporations out. Then while Americans sat in front of the television sets each night and watched the news they saw the markets fall day in and day out and unemployment numbers rise! So what did our progressive know it all leaders do? They decided to push through their socialized medicine bill instead of learning from history on how to get Americans back to work and the economy stable. They pushed it through using the late Ted Kennedy as the progressive’s patron saint of the bill I still say if they would have left it well enough alone we still would have had problems, but possibly by now we would have seen light at the end of the tunnel. I digress.
I could go on and on, but you know the story all to well. We were too self absorbed in our lives to really care about politics like we should have. We were brainwashed in a sense that we were not the caretakers of the Republic like our Founding Fathers intended. The progressive socialistic machine has been hard at work in this country going strong for well over a hundred years if not more and now they have taken us almost to the cliff’s edge. However through the TEA parties and 9/12 groups that took root in America around the end of 2008 to the start of 2009 the majority has opened their eyes and have taken the steps to reclaim our rightful place as “We The People”. Some battles have been won, but the war is far from over. This past November we have seen a political change unlike anything we’ve seen before. Million of more Americans who may have just voted before actually got involved in the process. We researched and listened and backed who we thought were the right candidates. Some of them made it in with great upsets while others didn’t. Regardless we have a new Congress. Very soon they are taking their oaths to uphold the Constitution and will start trying to get this country back on track. It will be a tough fight to say the least.
So I am talking directly to our new Congress members now. This country is broken and “We The People” expect you to put us back on the right track. We know it will not be easy and we know that what you can accomplish will have little impact at first. However if you stay true to your campaign promises and the principles and values that you claimed you had that made us vote you in you will be all right. Remember as long as you stay true to the Constitution and do what “We The People” elected you to do we have your back all the way. Do not bend to the political game. Do not bend to the pressure. Remember the role of the legislative branch in our three branches of government. Restore the power back to the people, cut the spending, put the progressive machine back in it’s place, and preserve and protect the Constitution. I know it seems a lot because quite simply it is, but again you are not in this alone you have us. Do not let us down. There is more at stake then maybe more people realize. We have faith in you…the future of America is in your hands.

Daily Gospel Reading 1/2/11

GospelMt 2:1-12When Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea,
in the days of King Herod,
behold, magi from the east arrived in Jerusalem, saying,
“Where is the newborn king of the Jews?
We saw his star at its rising
and have come to do him homage.”
When King Herod heard this,
he was greatly troubled,
and all Jerusalem with him.
Assembling all the chief priests and the scribes of the people,
He inquired of them where the Christ was to be born.
They said to him, “In Bethlehem of Judea,
for thus it has been written through the prophet:
And you, Bethlehem, land of Judah,
are by no means least among the rulers of Judah;
since from you shall come a ruler,
who is to shepherd my people Israel.”
Then Herod called the magi secretly
and ascertained from them the time of the star’s appearance.
He sent them to Bethlehem and said,
“Go and search diligently for the child.
When you have found him, bring me word,
that I too may go and do him homage.”
After their audience with the king they set out.
And behold, the star that they had seen at its rising preceded them,
until it came and stopped over the place where the child was.
They were overjoyed at seeing the star,
and on entering the house
they saw the child with Mary his mother.
They prostrated themselves and did him homage.
Then they opened their treasures
and offered him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh.
And having been warned in a dream not to return to Herod,
they departed for their country by another way.

New Year Thoughts

Well it's here...2011...feels strange to type all of that. It seems that it wasn't that far back where people were waiting for the computer crash of the year 2000! It's funny how time flies and that so much has happened in that time. My life has changed so much from the year 2000. So many personal ups and downs, so much that I cherish in my life has happened in the past 10 years and so much that I regret. I haven't always made the best choices in my life, but they were choices all the same. Oh well as the song goes that's life.
However I wish I could sit here and type this with high hopes for the future. Unfortunately I do not have any really if you want me to be honest. Our country is in political turmoil to say the least and it's broken to what seems to be beyond repair. Yes more people are now awake than ever, but I fear it's too late. All the TEA parties and rallies come too late. I fear the damage is done and all we can do as a nation is rally together once again and pick up the pieces. I recently started to read the history about the decline of the Roman empire and when you compare that history to what is happening today the future looks grim. It is my prediction that if the entire country isn't turned around by 2012 the Mayans may be right...but it wouldn't be the end of the world, but the end of the American Republic. You may laugh and call me a doomsday-er, but to me the signs are clear as day. I fear America will collapse and a second Revolution is on the horizon, but this time it will be those that still believe in the Great Experiment of our Republic against those that one global socialism for whatever reason. Regardless our future is a long and dark road ahead and we must be prepared for the worst.
Over the holiday season I had a few conversations with family about the future of this country. We are all concerned in one way or the other and we all discovered that we agreed that the worst is a strong possibility in the near future here in America. We pinpointed a possible turning point in the history of this country that allowed all of this damage to be done. Simply put the idea of socialism would be outright rejected by the average American in the past so it worked int he shadows. I won't go one and on talking about critical theory (a.k.a. political correctness) and how they did it I will just get to the point. At one time our Founding Fathers and generations since would gather in pubs and town halls and talk politics and religion. Then the idea of keeping the peace by avoiding discussing politics and religion came about. We stopped talking. We stopped sharing our thoughts and ideas. We in "We The People" were no longer allowing ourselves our God given right to govern our republic. We became self absorbed and too trusting in the politicians to govern us. They took the ball and ran with it. Now we are talking again and the first step to changing the course of the ship is to continue to talk again. We need to go further and not just talk amongst ourselves but we need to start talking to those that have not opened their eyes to the many problems we face today as a nation. You will be attacked and ridiculed hell I have been, but keep going. That's the secret. Stop being so thin skinned and speak up! Screw political correctness because all that is is social Marxism at it's finest. That is how we are controlling things we think and say.
Wake up people. Life isn't fair. There are people that are more successful than you. People that are rich and there will always will be. It's called life and at times it isn't fair. You cannot punish people for being successful and make them by force to take care of those that don't have the desire to fight for a better life or take risks in life. Some people have better advantages than others....big deal that's the way it is. Life is what you make of it and everyone in this country with enough hard work and balls to take risks can rise on the social ladder. Every race and religion has some dark mark on their pasts that can be considered horrible. Our first instincts would be to say that they are entitled to something to make up for that horrible past against them...but enough is enough. We need to put all of that aside and rise up as Americans and reclaim our country as a free Republic. It can happen, but will it if the masses stay in the dark?
Another thing we need to do is re-establish our faith in God. We are a Judea-Christian nation and it WAS through the grace of God we became a free nation. Our society has degenerated generation after generation so bad that now if you turn on the TV you will see a show about some sexual perversion after another. We need to strengthen our relationship with God and re-establish the morals, principles, and values that are the foundation of our Constitution. If we do not then our fate will seem like the Tower of Babel or Sodom and Gamora! I'm not trying to preach because I'm not perfect, but if we don't clean up the smut and degradation of what today's society says is normal we have a snowball'c chance in hell to safe our country's future. The answer is so simple it's right in front of our faces, but do we really choose to see it.
In short all I have to say is this...we need to get on the right path or we are doomed. Plain and simple. IT's a dark road ahead...are you prepared to walk it?

Daily Meditation 1/1/11

you I have pardon, mercy, grace and victory over sin and death. You humbled
yourself for my sake and for the sake of all sinners by sharing in our
humanity and by dying on the cross. Help me to always praise your holy
name and to live for your greater glory.'

people the giving of a name had great importance. When a name was given
it represented what that person should be in the future. An unknown name
meant that someone could not be completely known. To not acknowledge someone's
name meant both denial of the person, destruction of their personality,
and change in their destiny. A person's name expressed the reality of his
or her being at its deepest level. A Jewish child was named at the time
of circumcision, eight days after birth. This rite was instituted by God
as an outward sign to single out those who belonged to the chosen people.
It was a sign of the covenant that God made with Abraham and his posterity.
In fulfilment of this precept, Mary's newborn child is given the name
Jesus
on the eighth day according to the Jewish custom. Joseph and Mary gave
the name Jesus because that is the name given by God's messenger
before Jesus was conceived in Mary's womb. This name signifies Jesus' identity
and his mission. The literal Hebrew means the Lord saves. Since
God alone can forgive sins, it is God who, in Jesus his eternal Son made
man will save his people from their sins (Matthew 1:21).  In
the birth and naming of this child we see the wondrous design and plan
of God in giving us a Savior who would bring us grace, mercy, and freedom
from the power of sin and the fear of death. The name Jesus signifies
that the very name of God is present in the person of his Son who became
man for our salvation. Peter the Apostle exclaimed that there is no
other name under heaven given among mortals by which we must be saved
(Acts 2:12). In the name of Jesus demons flee, cripples walk, the blind
see, the deaf hear, and the dead are raised. His name is exalted far above
every other name (Philippians 2:9-11). The name Jesus is at the
heart of all Christian prayer. It is through and in Jesus that we pray
to the Father in the power of the Holy Spirit. Many Christians have died
with one word on the lips, the name of Jesus. Do you exalt the name of
Jesus and pray with confidence in his name?
'Lord Jesus Christ, I exalt your name above every other name. For in
you I have pardon, mercy, grace and victory over sin and death. You humbled
yourself for my sake and for the sake of all sinners by sharing in our
humanity and by dying on the cross. Help me to always praise your holy
name and to live for your greater glory.'

Daily Gospel Reading 1/1/11

GospelLk 2:16-21The shepherds went in haste to Bethlehem and found Mary and Joseph,
and the infant lying in the manger.
When they saw this,
they made known the message
that had been told them about this child.
All who heard it were amazed
by what had been told them by the shepherds.
And Mary kept all these things,
reflecting on them in her heart.
Then the shepherds returned,
glorifying and praising God
for all they had heard and seen,
just as it had been told to them. When eight days were completed for his circumcision,
he was named Jesus, the name given him by the angel
before he was conceived in the womb.

The New Year

First of all I wanted to wish all of you a Happy New Year and hope that God grants us as a nation his good graces once again. We need it now more than ever. I know that I have not posted much on here the past couple of months, however with the coming of a new year my plans for my site, social network, and my internet show have changed I feel for the better. Blogtalk radio has killed all of its free shows starting in november by seriously limiting what we can do. Since I was a free member I am one of those hit hard by the changes. However I am looking into new options and re-imaging the American Patriot: Michael J. Maxim brand. Look for changes to be posted the next coupe of weeks now that the holidays are over. Thank you all for you continued support and God bless us all!
