One Nation Under Slobs…

They said they would out number the conservatives that gathered around the Lincoln Memorial on 8/28 for Glenn Beck’s Restoring Honor Rally. They said that we were One Nation united together. They said they would make an impression. Well at least they made an impression. The impression I walked away with after watching the footage, seeing the photos, and reading the articles is that they are a bunch of disrespecting slobs that have one agenda for one nation…a socialistic/communistic agenda. It took me awhile to write this because I wanted to make clear points of my opinions on the rally, but I could not right away because I was filled with anger. I am angry at so many on so many different levels. First let’s tackle the mainstream media.

I would like to say I’m shocked and surprised about the bias media coverage by the progressive media machine, alas I am not. They were quick to report large numbers for this rally when in the past they grossly under reported the number of people in Washington DC for the 8/29 rally and the various TEA parties and marches that have happened over these past couple of years. I even saw a station take “stock” footage from the 8/28 rally of the crowds there and claim they were at the One Nation rally. If I was in those shots I would start screaming slander by purposely misrepresenting me at a rally I totally oppose. Second was the lack of shots from the socialists and communists marching that day in Washington on 10/2. Verified photos are all over the internet showing their flags, signs, banners, tables, and more all over that rally! This is sickening! It is the media’s job to be unbiased and to report facts not doctor up the facts to paint a rosy picture! I know the truth with the mainstream media, but it still doesn’t stop me from getting really upset at them from time to time. The fact of the matter is this…there are ignorant Americans out there, I know a few, that watch idiots on CNN and MSNBC and think they are getting the whole truth. It is blatantly irresponsible for them to do bias reporting. I know it’s a fact of life that they do, but I’m not going to just shake my head at it. It’s time they do their job the way they are supposed to!

The second thing I am upset with, but again I’m not surprised at, is the fact that those speaking at the One Nation rally purposely used key phrases and examples that the TEA parties and the conservatives have been using all along. The difference they twisted things to fit in their progressive socialistic agendas. I heard several speakers make reference to uniting as Americans again. To return to our fundamental roots…the problem there is the fundamental roots they were talking about were not the roots of America, but the roots of the socialistic progressive movement that has been going on here I America since 1872!

The most blood boiling thing however were their lack of respect. They trashed Washington and more importantly they trashed and disrespected the WWII memorial! I’ve been to several rallies in Washington with huge crowds and I’ve never seen garbage on the ground or littered all over the various memorials in Washington…NEVER! Full garbage cans yes and maybe alittle garbage falling out of the full garbage cans, but never in my life have I seen such a mess like the one I saw in the photos of the progressive rally aftermath. My main argument is this. Memorials are like cemeteries…they are built to remember the sacrifices that are made. They are there to honor the dead. In the case of the WWII memorial it is hallowed ground to say the least. It is there to remember the grand sacrifices our men and women made during that but necessary war. To litter it with trash is a slap in the face to the families of those that memorial represents. I would like to ask those progressive liberal idiots at the rally that left their garbage everywhere how they would like me going to the cemetery where their loved ones are and stomping, spitting, and trashing the graves of their loved ones? I would like to think they would be pissed, but something tells me they wouldn’t care because they are too self absorbed with themselves to care about something like that. You should be ashamed of yourselves people for doing what you did. You want to gather and push your communistic/socialistic agendas for America that’s fine. I know the truth will shoot you down in the end, but to show the world you are nothing but a bunch of disrespecting slobs well that’s unforgivable. I do have to thank you guys and gals though…at least once again you helped we the conservatives prove our points about you!

Kill Your Children…the progressives say it’s okay!

I’ve never been so sick in my life after reading what seems to be an ongoing trend on news stories coming from the left. It seems that the new fad is to push for the legalizing murder…specifically the murder of children. Infants to be exact. You see one of the things that contribute to the problems in this country is the lack of respect for the sanctity of life and the lack of self respect. First it came with legalizing abortion. Then there was the debate over whether late term abortions were right or not. Now I’ve read two separate articles about how it’s okay to kill infants AFTER they are born! Yes that’s right it’s okay to murder your children according to a few extremely crazy progressives!

First let’s look at internationally known Princeton "bioethicist" and animal-rights activist

Peter Singer who recently said he'd kill disabled babies if it were in the "best interests" of the family, because he sees no distinction in the child's life whether it is born or not, and the world already allows abortion. This mane is supposed to be well respected and world renowned! I don’t want to get on my soap box and preach to you about how abortion is wrong because it’s murder, but I want to point out that all of this is like playing with dominos. First you allow the abortion domino, then when that falls it hit’s the debate for late term abortion domino, which then hit’s the let’s kill disabled infants domino. What the hell is wrong with this whole scenario? I swear there are times I wake up and look at the news, see stories like this and wonder what part of the twilight zone do I now live in?

In an interview this man has stated in an almost straight to the point way that it’s legal to kill a cow so why not kill an infant with disabilities. Are you kidding me! Kind of makes all this noise about death panels and references to Logan’s Run more real doesn’t it. When asked directly if he would kill an infant with disabilities he responded without even a pause…YES! To many Americans this man would be considered crazy, yet don’t forget he holds a well respected position in the educational and scientific communities. He is dangerous to say the least.

However in recent news he is not the only one. Let’s look at UK advise columnist Virginia Ironsides. A video of an interview with her is floating around the internet now where she clearly states that she would have no remorse smothering a child who was in agony. She even says that it would be the act of a loving mother! What kind of mother would kill their children. No matter what was wrong with my child it has the right to life, a right to fight for it’s life, and a right to be protected from harm by it’s parents! That’s a fact.

Another thing recently that has turned my stomach on the issue of lack of respect for life is the praising of doctor Jack Kevorkian at the Golden Globes. The fact that a sympathetic movie about the man was made is stomach turning enough, but the open praise of the man that was given by Al Pacino was disgusting. I’m sure we all know the saga of Jack Kevorkian and his work and I think that any normal person with basic morals would find him disgusting and not fitting of praise! This is all twisted!

All of this is disturbing to say the least. Where is the respect of life in this country. It is morally wrong to kill for no good reason. Some of our greatest advancements in life are because of people with disabilities! Where would we be if they were smothered as children or eliminated like Singer says? I’m not going to argue my points on this one because the right answer is crystal clear. Sympathy killing, assisted suicide, and abortion is wrong. It’s murder. Until we get back on track morally in this country we will continue down the path of darkness. We will be opening our souls to evil and if that happens we get what we deserve. We must stand and fight against this. To me it’s a no-brainer! Come on people it’s time to make this issue viral even more than it already is. Expose these sick twisted progressive s.o.b.s for what they are! Evil at heart…pure evil at heart.

George Washington's prayer for the United States

Some sources say that this prayer from George Washington is a fake that it wasn't a prayer but part of a letter written by Washington years before he became president. Regardless of the origin the words are still meaningful and I think an appropriate prayer at this point in time to say the least...

'Almighty God, we make our earnest prayer that Thou wilt keep the United States in Thy holy protection; that Thou wilt incline the hearts of the citizens to cultivate a spirit of subordination and obedience to government; and entertain a brotherly affection and love for one another and for their fellow citizens of the United States at large. And finally, that Thou wilt most graciously be pleased to dispose us all to do justice, to love mercy, and to demean ourselves with that charity, humility and pacific temper of mind which were the characteristics of the Divine Author of our blessed religion, and without a humble imitation of whose example in these things we can never hope to be a happy nation. Grant our supplication, we beseech Thee, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.'

Where is the American youth?

The November elections are coming faster and faster and it is our responsibility as caretakers of the Republic is to cast our votes. Those votes need to be made responsibly to assure that we put into office the right individuals that will honor and defend the Constitution as well as keep the best interests of America in the front. With the formation of the TEA party movement and such organizations like the 9.12 groups, Freedomworks, etc. we have seen a greater conservative voter turn out so far. We must keep this up. However the answer isn’t the Conservative voter turn out…the answer is education and promotion.

Here are some disturbing facts. In 1972 over 60% of those in America over the age of 65 were exercising their right to vote. 50% of Americans und the age of 25 were voting. In 2000 almost 70% of those over 65 were voting while barely above 30% of those under 25 were making it to the ballot box. The numbers have increased slightly over the past 9 years for those under 25, but the poll shows a disturbing picture. From 1972 we have seen a steady decline in younger Americans not exercising their right to vote. As far as keeping up to date with politics and political knowledge in 1964 almost 70% of Americans between 18 and 29 years of age had a good understanding when quizzed about current political issues and individuals. In the year 2000 when the same type of test was done again only 30% of Americans 18-29 had a basic understanding. Here is one more set of disturbing facts…in 1966 about 60% of college students said that they try to keep up-to-date on current political affairs and in 2003 only 34% showed an interest in keeping in tune with the political issues of America. This my friends pose a significant danger in the future of the Republic. After all I believe that it was Whitney Houston that sang the song that the children were our future. That saying and song is true…the children of today are the ones that will be fighting the fight tomorrow. The time has come for us to awaken the youth of America not just on the fact that politics ARE important and are directly linked to our everyday lives, but they need to be exposed to the true meaning of the Great Experiment and our country’s true history.

Now yes I know that if those polls were taken again today we would see an increase in those numbers, but that’s not what scares me. In less than 30 years we saw a drop of over 20% of those under 25 exercising their right to vote. That is a huge change in the number for the worst. It should have never reached that point. You cannot pick out one thing to blame, but if you had to single something out to take most of it I would have to say it’s the progressive machine run media and entertainment here in America. They shifted the focus and implied that politics were boring and unimportant. I suspect that this was done in order to make sure that the socialistic agenda of the progressive movement could be pushed through in the future with minimal resistance. Just a theory or personal opinion of mine, but to me it makes sense. At this point a quote from Thomas Jefferson comes to mind. He once said something along the lines of that there has never been, nor ever will be, a people who are politically ignorant and free. Once again Thomas Jefferson was right.

Now after September 11, 2001 and the events after the election of 2008 more and more Americans are waking up to the importance of getting involved with politics. We have seen more and more young fear that the children are without a doubt being indoctrinated into thinking that the socialistic agenda of the progressives is the way to go here in America. They are being hit at a young age being taught the bare minimum about our Republic and it’s history and traditions. The problem goes on through collage. Many of the most popular schools for a young adult to attend after high school are self proclaimed liberal schools. I recently purchased a text book that one would get in taking political science in collage. I haven’t’ read the whole thing, but so far there is no mention of the fact that America is a republic…as a matter of fact it declares us a democracy. Yes folks there is a big difference. It has class room work activities like role playing on how you can make a difference by being a political advocate on gun control. It also contains a whole chapter of lessons on Social Welfare Policymaking and Social Justice. From what I have read and what I have skimmed over the text book for this collage course is pro-left all the way. Now I ask you are the youth of America being properly educated?

The answer is simple, but takes all of us to get involved. We need to start in our own homes with our own children and then branch out to our communities. We need to wake up the youth on the importance to exercise our right to vote. We need to teach them how to use the well spring of informational sources on the internet and television to become well educated and informed voters. We need to teach them the true history and foundation of our great Republic, because if we don’t all the fighting we are doing now will be pointless because in the end American loses and the socialistic agenda of the progressives will win hands down.

Hopes for 2010

Hello fellow patriots and thanks for stopping by my new blog here at blogger. I have been blogging off and on for awhile on other sites, but now with 2010 in full swing and our government out of control it is time to buckle down and create a weekly blog to go hand in hand with my site www.michaeljmaxim.com and conservative internet radio talk show at www.blogtalkradio.com/michaeljmaxim to live true to my show tagline. I have claimed that I will lead the new revolution by example and that is fully what I intend to do. At the end of last year and the first part of this year I figured I would set that type of example by running against my current representative in Congress on a platform of patriotism. I am a realist and knew that I wouldn't win, however I did hope to cause enough waves for the media to really take notice. Well due to lack of funding and not really being ready I ended my campaign in January and started a new role as a political activist. I find this more refreshing since I can voice my opinion and not have the pressures of a campaign on my shoulders. Last month we launched the internet radio show which is starting to take off and created our website. All of this at this point are works in progress. They are getting better to say the least. I will be posting many opinion pieces soon with a goal of at least one a week here on the blog and I plan on being actively part of events throughout the year. At this point I need your help to spread the word. Now is the most crucial time in America we have ever faced. Progressives and liberals seek nothing less than to change America into a nanny state where our freedoms are almost non-existent. Spread the word, get involved, and fight the good fight with me!
