Like most conservatives in this great nation of ours, I am a defender of our only ally in the Middle East--Israel. Israel needs our help, not our criticism, to survive amongst those who wish to destroy her and us. Unfortunately, the United Nations will not help Israel, nor will our weakling president, Barack Obama. Rather, it seems, they choose to assist Israel's enemies, chiefly Iran, Syria, and Lebanon. One is almost tempted to ask why that is so.
The answer is quite simple. Obama, for all his peace rhetoric, is himself a secret Muslim who, like the rest of his fellow Muslims, feels that Israel must be wiped out, while the United Nations simply wants the entire "Middle Eastern problem", as they term it, to disappear. The problem is, this issue will never disappear. Israel and the Muslim world have been fighting for over 2,000 years, and you cannot expect them to set aside an old quarrel that has been foretold in the Bible overnight.
After all, God told Abraham, who is considered widely to be the father of both Israel and the Muslims, that their respective descendants would be at war over what is now the land that Israel currently sits upon. So it does not matter what the United Nations or America says or does, for this war between Israel and its enemies will continue because it has been prophesied.
From what appears to be happening, the United Nations and America simply want to end the quarrels between the Israelis and the Arabs livng in Gaza and throughout the Middle East, not to obtain peace for all, but to give to the Arabs the very land that God said was, and always will be, rightfully Israel's land. If that is their idea for making peace, it will fail lamentably, for anyone who reads the Bible knows that to divide Israel or indeed, Jerusalem itself, which is the capital of Israel, would bring about Armageddon, or the end of all things. That too is foretold in the Holy Scriptures.
Israel right now is preparing for a war with Iran that could cost the lives of millions of its people, in response to the increasing nuclear threats of Iran against the people of Israel. Yet the United Nations refuses to understand Israel's current position on this issue. Even Obama threatens to strike at any Israeli aircraft crossing into Iran in an effort to strike at their nuclear facilities, on the grounds that they would be "a threat to world peace."
The economic sanctions recently passed against Iran by the United Nations Security Council are already proving to be nothing but idle words against Iran, and even the leadership in Iran is telling the United Nations that their threats against Iran's nuclear plans are wasted. The only way to stop Iran is to strike against their nuclear facilities, their forges, and even their cities. Israel is the only nation in the world that seems to understand that sanctions are not the answer against Iran. The only answer against Iran is a pre-emptive strike to cripple their nuclear program, or to completely wipe it out.
The choice is up to America. Will we support a nuclear Iran that threatens to wipe us and Israel out, or will we back up our ally Israel and help her in her darkest hour? It's up to you, America.
