Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addresses the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) Policy Conference tonight in Washington, DC. On Friday, the Prime Minister met at the White House with President Obama, one day after the President gave a major Middle East policy address.
The AIPAC conference also hears from Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) and Speaker of the House John Boehner (R-OH) tonight. Both showed their support for Israel.
Senator Reid said, "No one should set premature parameters about borders, about building or about anything else."
Speaker Boehner said, "What does the other side want? When it embraces a terrorist organization, it makes its intentions plain."
Where I’m from, you’re judged by the company you keep," he said.
Yesterday, Pres. Obama spoke before AIPAC and stressed the importance of the U.S.-Israeli relationship.
Continuing his visit to the nation's capitol, Prime Minister Netanyahu is scheduled to address a joint meeting of Congress tomorrow.
The policy conference is the largest gathering for America's leading pro-Israel lobby, which works with both major parties to secure public policy that strengthens the U.S.-Israel relationship.
