Flashback: Obama Pledges “Unshakable Commitment To Israel’s Security And The Friendships Between Our Two Countries” (Video) – Updated

Today, Israel and pro-Israeli Jewish voters found out how crowded it is under Obama’s bus as hesided with the Palestinians regarding Israel’s borders:

President Barack Obama is endorsing the Palestinians’ demand for their future state to be based on the borders that existed before the 1967 Middle East war, in a move that will likely infuriate Israel. Israel says the borders of a Palestinian state have to be determined through negotiations.

Here’s exactly what he said. Hat tip Gateway Pundit:

So while the core issues of the conflict must be negotiated, the basis of those negotiations is clear: a viable Palestine, and a secure Israel. The United States believes that negotiations should result in two states, with permanent Palestinian borders with Israel, Jordan, and Egypt, and permanent Israeli borders with Palestine. The borders of Israel and Palestine should be based on the 1967 lines with mutually agreed swaps, so that secure and recognized borders are established for both states. The Palestinian people must have the right to govern themselves, and reach their potential, in a sovereign and contiguous state.

I have highlighted how Obama has treated Israels since taking office. It has not been kind.

This is contrary to his campaign promise to bring “an unshakable commitment to Israel’s security and the friendships between our two countries.”

Despite his behavior towards Israel, Jewish voters continue to pull the lever for Democrats. However, prior to this speech, Obama was warned by Jewish supporters that he risked losing financial support if he didn’t support Israel.

We’ll see if they finally get the picture. This is the most anti-Israeli president ever.

Update:

In 2008, he also pledged not to divide Israel:
