Brook Park to close fire station
BROOK PARK, Ohio - The city of Brook Park, like many cities in Northeast Ohio is faced with tough financial times.
On Friday, city firefighters learned of the city's painful decision to close the fire station at Holland Road and Sandhurst Drive.
The move would effectively lower the number of firefighters in the city from nine to seven.
A spokesperson for the firefighter's union confirmed the station's closing. A statement from Brook Park's mayor is expected Friday afternoon.
