They may not have all agreed on who won the debate but the Frank Luntz South Carolina GOP Debate focus group all agreed on one thing…
Obama is a socialist.
Agreed.
Obama is a socialist.
Agreed.

Wow. This video shows just how uninformed some people can be. Is requiring Exxon, with their billions in profits, to pay a little taxes, wrong? Is taking the profit out of sickness and disease, by having universal health care FOR ALL, wrong? When 43 million Americans live below the poverty line, is having the 1% of Americans holding 40% of the money, pay a little more taxes so that America doesn't end up like Mexico, Brazil, and Somalia-- with NO Middle Class, wrong?
ReplyDeleteThese people and so many like them don't EVEN REALIZE they are voting against their own interests. They are distracted by "moral issues" like abortion, gay rights, and gun control that don't even affect them personally, and continue to vote their emotions rather than the economic facts. All so WalMart, Coke & Pespsi, Exxon, and Citibank can please their stockholders.
The "hard working folks" that the woman described, are the ones getting screwed the most by the current GOP positions. They are also the ones that Obama is trying to save-- but they don't believe it because they've been duped by the false-patriotism, Christianity-exploiting, fear-mongering propaganda campaign designed by mercenary PR hacks.
Friends, this is not an accident. Just ask Frank Luntz!
I have this nagging feeling that the Republican found a surprisingly large number of people who mistook "Politically Conservative" (which was based mostly on wanting smaller government) with morally or culturally conservative (which has nothing to do with most of the day-to-day politics that govern our nation). This coup of was made possible by the exploiting of people's ignorance as well as the appealing to their emotions rather than educating them to the facts of how government works-- pretty dry stuff indeed, but to ignore them is to place one's self in peril. How else do you think Wall St and the Banksters so easily took so many of you to the cleaners?
ReplyDeleteSuch a shame. Wake up folks. Voting the issues is the only way you'll change this country for the better. Take back your country, but take responsibility. Inform yourself about the issues that your candidate(s) really stand for.
