Nuts and Backwards | Red State Virginia - Conservatism Across Virginia

Nuts and Backwards | Red State Virginia - Conservatism Across Virginia

As NATO condemns Pastor Terry Jones for burning the koran, he is making plans to now hold a mock trial for the life of Mohammad. This is such a twisted story is so many ways. Is it really love to burn the holy book of another culture? Is it really turning the other cheek to incite people to violence?

Then again, lets not forget in our endless perverse liberal journey to be accepting of those who would have our heads, the people who were incited to rage were in fact an evil bunch! It seems in our backwards culture it is so easy for people to forget that a culture which takes heads for the simple act of being Christian or Jewish, does share in the responsibility for how it acts. Our press sounds like a pack of crying mothers when they approach such issues. It is always the person burning the Koran who is responsible for the MURDER being committed by those offended by it.

Have we forgotten these people are the same cowards who are unwilling to stand up and fight us in the open. Instead they plant secret bombs on the roads, or strap bombs on their own bodies to kill women and children in public places. We are talking about the same group of people who have no respect for the rights of women. The same people who publicly beat, and often murder homosexuals. The culture we are discussing has no tolerance for those with differing opinions, to the degree that they would murder people not even involved in the book burning.

After all this man simply burned paper and ink. When actually compared to the prophet of Islam that is a laughable offense. When pastor Jones starts raping women, or murdering his daughters for wearing makeup, I will stand against him. When he inspires people to public murder of women, children, and homosexuals because a book with ink told him to, then I will stand against him. When he starts preaching against women having the right to drive, wear clothing of their own choice, and show their faces then I will stand up against him.

Is burning the holy book of a bunch of nutcases a good idea? Probably not. Then again, bribing the local tribal people while also bombing their cousins is also probably at least equally as stupid. And to be honest when guys like Hamid Karzai and General Petraeus are on the same page about something like this it almost makes me want to laugh a little.

Is Terry Jones placing our soldiers in harms way by publicly denouncing a religious system that violates human rights, takes prisoners, creates terrorists, fails to respect women and murders homosexuals? I think not. The “highly intelligent” people who took us to war against tribal people with the perverse notion that we could simply give them western liberty, with no sacrifice on their part, are the ones who put our soldiers in harms way. The president who campaigned against the wars, then expanded them. Campaigned against GITMO then left it open, yet who also pretends Islam is no threat to the west, while bombing a third Muslim nation, is the one who put our soldiers at risk. The government that helped to create men like Bin Laden, then hunted him, then forgot about him, is the source of harm coming toward our troops. Even if you do not agree with any of that, you must at least admit the culture of tyrants and monsters that would murder all of your family members for their western values is certainly the source of harm coming toward our troops.

General Petraeus should be ashamed of himself. Is he really so uninformed that he actually believes those people were not already a threat to our troops? If anything he is the one man that could end the threat to the common soldier in that nation. We are not getting anything done in an evil culture of tribal warlords. What more does he expect will come out of this endeavor?

Its time to stop accusing silly pastors for burning books, and bring our troops home.
